One of the most obvious things to consider when choosing out your city break accommodation is your budget; generally, the more you are willing to spend, the more you will receive in the way of luxury and conveniences, but for the majority, this may mean cutting back in other areas of the holiday – something which no-one likes to do.

Finding a happy medium can be difficult, but you need to think about what you actually require from your lodgings – will you be using it as nothing more than a place to rest, or do you plan on spending a lot of time indoors?

Once this question has been answered then you can start to look around the area. Hostels are great for tourists who want to save some money, and can often be found right in the middle of the city centre. However, very often you may have to share a bathroom with other guests, which is not to everyone”s tastes.

Hotels offer far more luxury, but can be quite steep in price. If you feel that the extra cash is worth it though, then have a shop around to get the best deal.
